Hola! I am Daniel Morales, a lead product designer of digital services. Currently working at Futurice in Helsinki, Finland.
About me
As a product designer, I am passionate about articulating products and services based on (business) outcomes and experimentation. In my most recent projects, I’ve led teams to discover problems worth solving and co-create new services through a strong synergy between design and tech. My current area of interest is the intersection of data science and design, as much as the design of accessible and inclusive digital services.
Over the years, I've explored diverse fields like product design, interior architecture, sustainable design, city design, animation, film, industrial design and photography, in 7 countries. My journey includes creating purposeful products and services, activating urban spaces and storytelling, all aimed at enhancing people's lives.
What I love doing
Problem Solving
I have always been interested in learning how things work. As a kid, I broke an endless number of toys and electronics into parts to understand them, but more often than not, I failed to put them back together. As a grown-up I keep highly curious in order to solve problems and to fix things.
Storytelling
From working in the animation industry to diving into cinematography, I have enjoyed communicating ideas through good stories. For that matter, my design process is heavily supported by storytelling principles.
Cycling
When moving around the world, bikes have been my closest companion. They have shown me various sides of urban life and taken me to extraordinary places. Cycling to me goes beyond passion and discovery – it is a lifestyle.
