Work by People is a platform to promote talented artists in different fields. It is a channel to communicate what seems very abstract. It is a visual conversation with young professionals who spend their time at workshops to perfect their techniques. Welcome to see what lies behind the steel doors of many workspaces.
Background
Work by people represents the value behind the effort of talented artists. In today’s society, things are often taken for granted and especially arts in its many shapes are undervalued by a quick consumerism culture. This initiative aims to expose the work and experience behind finalized products, music, spaces, clothing, etc.
Approach
Work by People is a platform for many young creators to help them launch their careers. It represents a visual conversations that illustrates artists’ worlds. Work by People is a collaborative effort, for the community and by the community.
This Initiative emerged from my interest in connecting the world of arts and the general public. The aim is to communicate arts in an approachable language to any kind of audience. We shot each film as a discovery journey with no concrete plan on the final outcome. I would edit and produce each video according to the feeling of each session.
Trading stories
Work by people is an exchange. I trade my video–making skills with amzing stories behind a craft. The result goes beyond a collection of all those conversations, as it is also an enabler for artists to have a high quality media to showcase their work beyond their final products. After each video shoting, each artist was free to use the materials in their own way.
